Laugh #15 - the asthmatic santa

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Inspiration:

This laugh is inspired by this time of year and by the big ol' jolly guy that everyone thinks about.  This is after said guy has ate a few too many cookies and sucked in a little bit o' ash from slidin' down so many chimneys.

Sound profile:

This laugh starts with a hardy Ho Ho Ho...but then is interrupted by lack of breath so turns into a wheeze.  This is one of those laughs that you want to laugh along with but you also feel bad about.

Difficulty:

This can be executed by most intermediate laughers.  As long as you can wheeze good you should be able to nail this laugh and have it sitting under the tree as a nice present for a loved one.

Laugh #14 - the barrel full of fun

Inspiration:

This laugh is inspired by those barrel chested individuals who love to laugh heartily and by one of the Looney Tunes characters "the Colonel" from the episode "Dog Gone South" - he was the one that had the bulldog and would yell "Belvedere come'ere buoy!"

Sound profile:

This laugh is loud, commanding, and full of fun.  There is a repeating element to this laugh with the same boisterous part repeated over and over - with confidence.  The laugh takes over a crowd and makes bystanders either laugh along or cringe.

Difficulty:

This is a intermediate laugh.  This is due to the laugh repeating and not having too much fluctuation in tonality.

Laugh #13 - the sensy pants

Inspiration:

This laugh is inspired by that guy that everyone knows that is WAY too sensitive.  The one that likes to just sit down and have a good talk, possibly a cry, or maybe even a nice quiet night with a good book and a 'divine' glass of chardonnay.  The person I think is kind of sensitive like Bruce from Family Guy.

Sound profile:

This laugh starts as soft and unassuming as the laughers personality is.  It then ends with a sigh as to say 'hey there, I am laughin with you, but I am not judging you...just enjoying sharing this moment of laughter'.  Normally this laugh will go on noticed in the crowd and the laugher is fine with that...'wouldn't want to take away from the person in the spot light at the moment'.

Difficulty:

This can be executed by most beginners as it may just come naturally.  For those trying to do this laugh and not being a sensy pants it may pose to be a little bigger challenge and therefore I give it the intermediate difficulty ranking.

Laugh #12 - the high society

Inspiration:

This laugh is inspired by those who enjoy the finer things.  They look at life and laugh ... not a laugh of joy but a laugh that says how positively droll everyone's lives are around them.

Sound profile:

This laugh has a hardy roll and almost guffaw to it that lets people around know that the laugher is someone to be revered and who must ... from the sound of their laugh ... come from royal lineage or at least have rubbed shoulders, or shopped at the same store with a royal.

Difficulty:

This should only be attempted by master laughers and ONLY if you are a member of high society.  Those not holding the status and attempting this laugh may be scoffed at or called nouveau riche since any member of high society can tell when someone is faking the funk.  You've been warned.

Laugh #11 - the gobbler

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Inspiration:

This laugh is inspired by this time of year - Thanksgiving!  It's a gobble of a good time and is inspired by countless meals with loved ones gorging on this delicious bird, while wearing our stretchy pants so we can eat more and then pass out.

Sound profile:

This laugh sounds much like the bird it's named after...the turkey.  You can hear that this laugh is half gobble half good time.  It's a laugh that says stuff your face, laugh and take a nap.

Difficulty:

This should only be attempted by master laughers.  Others might get hurt or worse...eaten.

Laugh #10 - the coffee spitter

Inspiration:

This laugh is inspired by three things..two of which are some of my favorites; Starbucks Coffee, and laughing.  The third thing is a result of a combination of the two that normally looks like a brown geyser.

Sound profile:

This laugh comes very unexpectedly and so it begins with the sound of surprise, followed by laughter literally bubbling out and then spewing out into the air along with the contents of the laugher's mouth.

Difficulty:

If happening unintentionally this can be a beginner laugh.  When attempting to execute this laugh on command this is definitely a master level laugh as the laugher needs to be cautious not to burn the surrounding public with boiling coffee.

Laugh #9 - the jester

Inspiration:

This laugh is inspired by Bugs Bunny...and not the new lame Bugs Bunny. There was an episode where he was dressed up as a jester and bouncing around with a great/harsh laugh.

Sound profile:

This is a great very sarcastic laugh that brings life to the party.  Just like a court jester this really gets the party and the laughs goin...without the creepy outfit.  The key to this laugh is delivery while doing a little skip around in a "S" shape.

Difficulty:

This is an intermediate laugh because of the fancy footwork that goes along with this laugh.
